Scarborough-Clontarf Trip August 21 2021

Meet your Member Advocate

Our club is committed to the principles of inclusion, tolerance and fairness for all, and recently we have strengthened our approach by introducing the new position of member advocate. Lynne Dean has filled the role of Member Advocate, and she is responsible for providing an impartial, confidential and constructive environment for members to report and discuss matters of concern. Lynne’s door is open to all members, who can contact her directly via the club’s dedicated member advocate email address: mailto:scclubadvocate@gmail.com

At Lynne’s recommendation, members can source more information about fairness, inclusion and safety in sport through the Play By the Rules initiative, which provides resources and training to sporting organisations in partnership with State Governments throughout Australia.

Basic Skills Courses: Register Now!

Designed to support new paddlers in getting started safely, our Basic Skills Courses are an excellent introduction to the club and the sport of paddling. From September until May (the warmer months) we run courses each month, generally on the first Saturday. However, if there is sufficient interest, we can schedule courses during the Winter season. Don’t put it off! Find out more and enrol now.
